The Book of Luke
Luke writes an orderly, carefully researched account so that Theophilus, and every reader, may know the certainty of what he has been taught. His Gospel shows Jesus as the Savior of all people, drawing near to the poor, the sick, the sinner, the woman, the foreigner, and the outcast. Filled with songs, prayer, and the Holy Spirit, Luke traces the road from a manger in Bethlehem to an empty tomb, where the risen Lord opens the Scriptures and sends his joyful witnesses out to the world.
