Acts 21: Determined to Reach Jerusalem
Despite repeated warnings, Paul presses on to Jerusalem, where he is arrested.
Summary
As Paul journeys toward Jerusalem, believers in city after city, and even the prophet Agabus, warn him of the suffering that awaits him there. Paul is undeterred, ready not only to be bound but to die for the name of Jesus, and his friends finally entrust the outcome to God. In Jerusalem he is welcomed and, at the leaders' suggestion, joins in a vow to show he honors his heritage. But some opponents stir up the crowd with false accusations, a riot erupts in the temple, and Paul is seized and rescued by Roman soldiers, asking permission to address the crowd.
